We’re back! After a week’s break, Gamers of the Lost Spark are back to dissect the week’s news and talk all things Metal Gear Solid 5 but don’t worry, we are totally spoiler free!
In between the unadulterated love that Antony and Darren can’t stop themselves from bestowing upon Kojima San’s masterpiece, the question of Phantom Pain getting a free pass regarding the broken online aspect of the game is surprising. Especially when such an unstable connection would draw plenty of flak were it any other game. Does the sheer magic of the single player excuse this?
Another great game drops and with it comes great controversy as the Spark’s discuss the news of microtransactions lurking within the most eagerly awaited title of the moment – Metal Gear Solid – The Phantom Pain. We suspected already but have Konami officially revealed that they are MGSV’s real Evil Boss? Antony and Darren debate if this can ever be acceptable and at what point have these cash siphoning (allegedly optional) transactions crossed the line to intrude upon the players enjoyment.
Questions are also asked regarding using the RockBand 4 legacy adapter to use 360 controllers on the Xbox One, a disk-less Nintendo NX being a good thing and Just how much time have we Wasted on Destiny.
In this week’s exciting edition of the Lost Spark Podcast we talk all things Sony with some great announcements about Paris Games Week and The PlayStation Experience and try and predict what they have in store for us. Should we temper our excitement to avoid disappointment or will Sony blow us away!
We also dissect the news about the interesting competitor to Kickstarter, Project Fig and look at the key differences between the two and get nerdy about the re-release of an old classic.
Darren starts his journey in to Metal Gear Solid 5 at Ground Zero(s), buys an Ewok and shares just how amazing it feels to hold the Worlds Second Place in Rare Replay’s Jetpac Snapshot Challenge.
