If By Magic Borderlands 3 Appears

This week Stuart and Antony are here to talk about the awesome news that Borderlands is back and now in 4K Ultra HD.  In a rather strange and bizarre way Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced an Ultra HD patch for the Handsome Jack Collection, the original Borderlands remastered and showed the first trailer for Borderlands 3.  Listen in to this week’s podcast and hear all the exciting Borderlands news. But that’s not all Stuart and Antony have much more gaming news for you too.

Hands-on impressions this week include lots more Division 2, as the Sparks are slowly saving Washington DC.  Antony jumps into Yoshi’s Crafted World and Stuart enjoys Shadow of the Tomb Raider.  In a little twist to  ‘What We’ve Been Playing’ the guys talk about Xbox Quests, a great way to find new Game Pass games, unlock some ‘cheevos and earn money off your next digital purchase.

Hands-on with The Division 2

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast Stuart and Antony are on mic duty to give you their hands-on impressions of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Listen as the take on the early parts of the Division 2 and star-jump their way around DC.

We also have hands-on impressions of Crackdown 3 from Stuart.  Antony gives us his thoughts on Captain Marvel, the latest edition to the MCU.

In the news section with all the latest from March’s Inside Xbox, with the Master Chief Collection coming to Steam and Xbox Store, a first live glimpse of Project xCloud and Dolby Atmos becomes part of the ‘Xbox Enhanced’ feature set.  There is also news about the Battle Royale add-on for Battlefield V and Jade Raymond, of Assassin’s Creed fame joins Google as they prepare for the launch of their new gaming service.

Anthem Is Getting Off To A Rough Start

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast Stuart and Antony are back together to discuss all the latest news in the world of gaming and of course when these two get together they always end up talking about cool AV tech and cinemas.  This week is no exception but don’t worry the guys do dive into the news about Borderlands 3, Anthem crashing PS4s and the excitement builds for the announcement of Respawn’s Star Wars game, which is due at Star Wars Celebration Chicago in April.

In the hands-on section this week Stuart has been wandering the apocalyptic wastelands of Hope County in Far Cry: New Dawn and testing his skills with Trials Rising.  Antony’s hands-on this week include completing the somewhat clunky Crackdown 3, jumping into the 10 hour trial of Anthem and trying out the new sci-fi metroidvania game from Double Fine, Headlander, now available on Xbox via Game Pass.

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast James and Antony STEP UP THEIR BOOM! and go hunting for delicious delicious orbs as the guys take on Crackdown 3 on Xbox One.  Listen to their hands-on discussion of this latest addition to Xbox Game Pass; was it worth the wait, how is the orb collecting (spoiler: it’s amazing), just how much boom did they bring? It’s Episode 145 of the Lost Spark Podcast and this week the Lost Spark team chats about last Sunday’s Super Bowl, Yorkshire Pudding Day, (you can guess who the co-host is this week!) and lots of gaming news too.

In the news section this week the Sparks discuss the rumours that Sony are focusing all 1st party studios on PS5 development only, Xbox announces their GDC talks and it has got the Sparks excited about the possibility of Xbox Live on Switch, iOS and Android, and news that made Antony extraordinarily happy, Tequila Works have announced a PSVR sequel to the classic comedy ‘Groundhog Day’, In ‘Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son’, you’ll play the charming but arrogant Phil Connors Jr., trapped back in Punxsutawney. In what we’ve been playing this week Steve continues his play through of ‘Life is Strange’ and runs around Hogwarts in Lego Harry Potter on Switch.  Antony’s hands-on time has been split between his first dabble with the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts 3 and gets chased around Raccoon PD by Mr. X in Resident Evil 2.  We also have hands-on impression of the second Anthem demo and the newly released Apex Legends, the free-to-play Battle Royale game from Respawn.

Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast James and Antony are back on mic duties so naturally the topics wander from Marie Kondo, to Kitchen Aid mixers, Super Bowl and the wondrous Piñatas that James has been crocheting.

We do talk about games, eventually, with news of H.Bomberguy (Harry Brewis) charity stream of Donkey Kong 64 making £230K for the charity Mermaids with some surprise guests popping into the stream.  We have all the details of the Anthem demo that arrives this weekend and the strange news regarding the online MMO, Atlas.

In the hands-on section this week James updates on the games he has been playing since his last pod appearance.  We have tales from the seas with Sea of Thieves and Return of the Obra Dinn, Florence on mobile and hear as James takes on Smash Bros. for the first time since the N64.  Antony recounts his time with the Call of Duty Blackout trial, dabbles in Soul Calibur VI and has a blast with user created maps in Forza Horizon 4.

The Cross Platform Dream Rockets Forward

This week on the Lost Spark pod Steve and Antony talk about the latest gaming news.  This week the guys discuss Bungie’s announcement that they will be leaving Activision and keeping the Destiny IP.  PlayStation’s cross play beta adds another title making Rocket League the second game to go cross-platform, meaning that you can now take on your friends across PC (Steam), Switch, Xbox and PS4, could this be the start of the cross platform dream, Antony can only hope!

In ‘What We’ve Been Playing’ Steve takes on Fallout ’76, hangs up his saddle after completing Red Dead Redemption 2 and thanks to the awesomeness of Xbox Game Pass has started ‘Life is Strange’ for the first time.  Antony has been playing the Resident Evil 2 ‘1-shot- demo and has rolled credits on Let’s Go Pokemon.

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast it’s all about Red Dead Redemption 2 as Steve and Antony hitch their horses and take to the mics to talk about their time so far in the Wild West.  Hear Steve and Antony talk about the Good, the amazing world and fantastic story, the Bad, the slow pace of the game so far, and the Ugly, Rockstars’ attempt at HDR.

But that’s not all, we have the full rundown of all the preloaded games for the new PlayStation Classic console, MediEvil’s remake trailer reactions and a run-through of the games coming to PS Plus, Games Pass, and Games with Gold for November.

A Hitman in Training

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast James and Antony are tackling all the fresh news from the world of gaming including the announcement that all of Red Dead Redemption 2’s cowboy goodness will ship on 2 discs.  We have all the news from ‘puddlegate’ and we chuckle along with Insomniac Games as they release puddle stickers in the latest update to Marvel’s Spider-Man, you can now add as many puddles as you want to all your in-game photos!

During his pods James has been busy gaming and we have hands-on impressions of ‘Return of the Obra Dinn’, ‘Curse of the Necrodancer’ on Switch, Mario Party 11, Overcooked 2  and it wouldn’t be a Lost Spark podcast if we haven’t played Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4.

Also on the podcast this week James and Antony prepare for Hitman 2 and discuss the new addition to the game, Ghost Mode, where two players exist in the same world and race to take out the target first but with a Sparks twist this will allow James to teach Antony the ways of the Hitman.
