This week on the Lost Spark Podcast we have a jammed packed episode as Darren (@DazWhitham) makes his triumphant return to the pod, James (@BIGsheep) is back with tails of scaling historical ships all in the name of work (and pleasure!).  Also on the podcast this week Antony (@ChessmanUK) chats with his nephew Will (@FireproofWillUK) after a fun packed day at EGX.10_Life_is_Strange_CHLOES_ROOM_02In the ‘What we’ve been playing’ section Darren has completed Dark Souls III new game plus and completed ‘Life is Strange’, to say that Darren was overjoyed with this game would be an understatement, ‘Life is Strange’ has rocketed to the ‘Greatest Game of All Time’ list and is a must play for anyone who hasn’t played it yet


Darren has also been sampling the delights of  Redout from 34BigThings – a Wipeout / F-Zero inspired racer available now on Steam playable both as normal but also in VR. Hear what Darren has to say about this anti grav treat both in and out of the VR headset.

James, Antony and Will give us a full breakdown of the games this saw, played and loved at this year’s EGX; with some standout titles being, Yooka Laylee, Tokyo 42, Mantis Burn Racing and the amazing single-screen slash-em-up Black and White Bushido

Also during EGX Antony and Will go their first eyes-on demo of PlayStation VR; Will played the epic Jurassic Park in Space game, Robinson: The Journey and Antony was blown away by the awesome spectacle that is Batman VR, this VR experience ticks off one of Antony’s life long dreams; be the Batman!

The ‘Games with Gold‘ for October have been announced and Xbox Live Gold members can download Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings during the month of October.  The critically acclaimed The Escapists will be available as a free download from October 16th to November 15th.  The Xbox 360 titles for this month are  MX vs ATV Reflex and I Am Alive, both titles are available throughout October and playable on the Xbox One via backward compatibility.
